A pharmacist-led service built for community pharmacy
The Big Health Community was created to make consistent local public-awareness campaigns affordable and practical for community pharmacy businesses.
Why we started
The service was developed from over ten years of face-to-face pharmacy experience. That experience showed how often useful pharmacy services remain under-recognised, even among people living nearby.
Our role is to help close that awareness gap. We create clear, locally relevant campaigns that explain which services are available and signpost people to participating pharmacies.
A fully managed approach
The Big Health Community plans, writes, designs, schedules and publishes the campaign activity. Pharmacy businesses choose the participating locations, service tier and applicable bolt-ons. We manage the rest, including publication and monthly reporting.
This model keeps administration low for pharmacy teams and allows The Big Health Community to provide a consistent service at a low monthly cost.

Independent status
The Big Health Community is operated independently by N-Chem Consultancy Ltd. It is not part of, controlled by or endorsed by the NHS or any public or regulatory body.
The Big Health Community is pharmacist-led but is not a pharmacy, healthcare provider or emergency service and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions or treatment. Participating pharmacies remain responsible for governance, staffing, clinical assessment, patient safety and lawful service delivery.
